Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate its graduates from spring 2020, fall 2020 and spring 2021 during several in-person, make-up commencement ceremonies on Thursday, Dec. 9, and Friday, Dec. 10, at the university’s Coussoulis Arena. The university will celebrate its fall 2021 graduates on Saturday, Dec. 11, also at Coussoulis Arena.

All graduates and guests must complete the Daily Health Screen prior to arriving to campus and must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. The commencement ceremonies will also be live-streamed and linked on the CSUSB Homepage.

More than 3,400 students plan to attend the make-up ceremonies, which were originally postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremonies will be separated by college, with 482 expected to participate from the College of Arts and Letters/College of Education, 464 from the Jack. H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, 387 from the College of Natural Sciences, and 774 from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The schedule for the make-up ceremonies is as follows:

Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021

  • 1 p.m.:  College of Social & Behavioral Sciences (criminal justice and psychology degrees only)
  • 6 p.m.:  College of Social & Behavioral Sciences

Friday, Dec. 10, 2021

  • 8 a.m.:  College and Arts & Letters and College of Education
  • 1 p.m.:  Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public Administration
  • 6 p.m.:  College of Natural Sciences

Nearly 1,300 students registered for the fall 2021 commencement ceremonies, with 236 graduates from the College of Arts and Letters, 304 from the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, 45 from the College of Education, 328 from the College of Natural Sciences, and 361 from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The schedule for the fall 2021 commencement ceremony is as follows:

Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021

  • 8 a.m.:  Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public AdministrationCollege of Arts & Letters
  • 1 p.m.:  College of Education, College of Social & Behavioral Sciences
  • 6 p.m.:  College of Natural Sciences

CSUSB will also present an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the fall 2021 ceremonies to the following recipients:

  • Jean Stephens ’91, global chief executive officer of the global firm RSM International Limited, during the 8 a.m. ceremony;
  • Reginald and René Webb of Webb Enterprises and franchise owner-operators of McDonald’s restaurants during the 8 a.m. ceremony;
  • Randall W. Lewis, executive vice president for marketing with The Lewis Group of Companies, during the 1 p.m. ceremony; and
  • Mohannad Malas, owner and CEO of Dana Investments and a cofounder of IRA Capital, during the 1 p.m. ceremony.
