CSUSB nursing students raising money for research trip to South KoreaKESQ (Palm Springs)Jan. 24, 2019 CSUSB Palm Desert Campus nursing instructor Younglee Kim was interviewed in a segment on a group of Cal State San Bernardino nursing students from the Palm Desert Campus who are looking to improve nursing in South Korea by addressing bullying and incivility in hospitals. The students need some community help in order to travel there, and have started an online Gofundme campaign. The nursing students are working together as they practice checking a patient. It’s a positive relationship that doesn’t always happen due to hostile interactions nurses call “incivility” at hospitals. Tony Coulson, CSUSB cybersecurity professor judges Congressional App Challenge contestU.S. Rep. Pete AguilarJan. 23, 2019 Tony Coulson, director of the Cyber Security Center at California State University, San Bernardino, served as judge for the Congressional App Challenge in the 31st Congressional District, represented by U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-San Bernardino). Aguilar announced that the winners of the competition are Richard Hu and James Yang, a senior and a junior at Redlands High School, for their app, Hex Rockets. Hex Rockets is a game designed to help players learn hexadecimal arithmetic with the goal of making STEM learning more fun and engaging for players.
