Designated Subjects Teaching Credentials

Career & Technical Education Teacher Credential

For individuals with work experience in a business, technical, vocational, trade and industrial specialty who would like to teach that specialty (Designated Subject) to students in a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) or any state funded Career and Technical Education program. All of the courses in this program are done completely online.

Supervision Credential

Designated Subjects Supervision/Coordination Credential

Specifically for ROP teachers who would like to function in an administrative capacity in a Regional Occupational Program. All of the courses in this program are done completely online. Although the Supervision and Coordination credential is designed for ROP, it is recognized by other entities such as community college, adult education and private post-secondary for job advancement.

Adult Education Teacher Credential

For individuals with work experience in a business, technical, vocational, trade and industrial specialty who would like to teach that specialty (Designated Subject) to students in a state funded Adult Education program. All of the courses in this program are done completely online. Same course requirements as the CTE Teacher Credential

Special Subjects Teacher Credential

For individuals with four years of verifiable experience or education in the following disciplines:

  • Aviation Flight Instruction
  • Aviation Ground Instruction
  • Basic Military Drill
  • Reserve Officers Training Corps
  • Driver Education and Training
  • Limited Driver Training

Adding a Designated Subjects Credential

For individuals holding a multiple subject, single subject or education specialist teaching credential which includes an authorization to teach English learners.
