Our campus has reached an important time in our history. We are coming together as a campus to plan our sustainable future by building the Resilient CSUSB plan. Ultimately we will have a portal that reports our progress, intake ideas, and provide outreach.
As part of the first version of our Resilient CSUSB Portal please provide your ideas here!
Def. resilience - Resilience is the ability of a system or community to survive disruption and to anticipate, adapt, and flourish in the face of change.
Def. of sustainability - The UCLA Sustainability Committee, sustainability is defined as: “the physical development and institutional operating practices that meet the needs of present users without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, particularly with regard to use and waste of natural resources. Sustainable practices support ecological, human, and economic health and vitality. Sustainability presumes that resources are finite, and should be used conservatively and wisely with a view to long-term priorities and consequences of the ways in which resources are used.” Source: https://www.sustain.ucla.edu/about-us/what-is-sustainability/
