Multiple Realities

In an era where boundaries are increasingly blurred, Entangled offers critical perspectives on how we inhabit multiple realities - physical and digital, personal and collective, remembered and forgotten. The exhibition illuminates the deep concerns that drive California State University, San Bernardino Department of Art & Design faculty as they inspire and shape new generations of creative voices.

Environmental Materiality

Artists explore the complex relationship between humans and their environment, navigating the intersection of craft traditions, ecological concerns, and material investigation. Through diverse approaches to texture, form, and process, these works illuminate the tensions between consumption and conservation, human creation and environmental degradation.

Technological Mediation

Through experimental installations and perceptual experiments, artists challenge assumptions about seeing and knowing. These works create spaces where optical illusions and sensory manipulations reveal the constructed nature of perception itself, questioning whether digital mediation creates distance from the environment or offers new possibilities for connection and awareness.

Featured artists: Andrew Thompson, Matthew Luther, Melanie Ashlee-Smith, Alex Dixon, Eric Huebsch

Untold Histories & Emergent Identities

Artists excavate untold social histories and articulate emerging forms of identity that exist at the intersection of traditional categories. By confronting erasure and absence, they transform archival materials, personal memories, and cultural artifacts into powerful testimonies of resilience and presence.
