Esther Research Symposium

Congratulations on your Academic Achievement! 

Esther Cruz presented her research on "Advocating for Education Systemic Change for Dental Education to Meet the New Standard of Care Due to Technological Innovation" at the 20th Annual Graduate Student Research & Scholarship Symposium on April 25th, 2023.

Esther was also granted the $1000 Student Research and Travel award by the Associated Students, Incorporated (ASI) Travel and Research Fund Committee.

Achieving Academic Excellence: Commemorating Your Ph.D. and Assistant Professorship!

Taemin Ha, Ph.D, a former student (Class of 2019) in the Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), has been offered a tenure-track assistant professor position at City University of New York (CUNY) - Queens College in 2023. Taemin was a graduate assistant under Dr. Eun-Ok Baek's supervision from 2017 to 2019 and started his doctoral journey in Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership program at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) with a full assistantship in August 2019.

During his doctoral studies at UNC, Taemin has authored five peer-reviewed journal articles on incorporating instructional design and technology into physical activity programs. His dissertation topic is also related to technology integration in school-based physical activity. Taemin credits the IDT program at CSUSB for inspiring him to pursue a doctoral degree and ultimately achieve his goal of becoming a college professor.

Academic Achievements and Professional Progress!

Shih-Chiao Huang was awarded scholarships from Phi Beta Delta and AFFSA. In 2023, she was also selected to receive an internship award from the Career Center. In addition to these achievements, she has secured a position as a design media designer and developer at Tapioca Express.

Dr. Amy Leh hosted the Phi Beta Delta (PBD) event successfully on Thursday, May 16th, 2019. In the event, Xian ChenQiuyan Jiang and Yu-Tsan Shih were awarded with scholarships. In addition, Dr. Baek was inducted to the PDB.
