Esther Research Symposium

Congratulations on your Academic Achievement! 

Esther Cruz presented her research on "Advocating for Education Systemic Change for Dental Education to Meet the New Standard of Care Due to Technological Innovation" at the 20th Annual Graduate Student Research & Scholarship Symposium on April 25th, 2023.

Esther was also granted the $1000 Student Research and Travel award by the Associated Students, Incorporated (ASI) Travel and Research Fund Committee.







Achieving Academic Excellence: Commemorating Your Ph.D. and Assistant Professorship!

Taemin Ha, Ph.D, a former student (Class of 2019) in the Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), has been offered a tenure-track assistant professor position at City University of New York (CUNY) - Queens College in 2023. Taemin was a graduate assistant under Dr. Eun-Ok Baek's supervision from 2017 to 2019 and started his doctoral journey in Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership program at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) with a full assistantship in August 2019.

During his doctoral studies at UNC, Taemin has authored five peer-reviewed journal articles on incorporating instructional design and technology into physical activity programs. His dissertation topic is also related to technology integration in school-based physical activity. Taemin credits the IDT program at CSUSB for inspiring him to pursue a doctoral degree and ultimately achieve his goal of becoming a college professor.


Academic Achievements and Professional Progress!

Shih-Chiao Huang was awarded scholarships from Phi Beta Delta and AFFSA. In 2023, she was also selected to receive an internship award from the Career Center. In addition to these achievements, she has secured a position as a design media designer and developer at Tapioca Express.

Seik Park is a research staff member at the Da Vinchi Institute of Learning Innovation, which is a part of Chung-Ang University in South Korea, from 2022.

On April 7, the second day of the ITS event, a short video of the IDT program created by current students under the guidance of Dr. Eun-Ok Baek was advertised in the Virtual Conference provided by the CSUS San Bernardino Information Technology Service (ITS).

Amy Leh hosted Phi Beta Delta


Dr. Amy Leh hosted the Phi Beta Delta (PBD) event successfully on Thursday, May 16th, 2019. In the event, Xian ChenQiuyan Jiang and Yu-Tsan Shih were awarded with scholarships. In addition, Dr. Baek was inducted to the PDB.

Yutong Liu and Yu-Tsan Shin have introduced our program's adaptive learning project at the ITS Tech Talks 2019 on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019.

One of our graduate students in the program, Taemin Ha, got accepted from a Ph.D. program with three years full scholarship at the University of Northern Colorado. He will continue his education in a doctoral program from the upcoming Fall semester 2019!

Eyda-Qi Guo, Tong Feng, and Lu Jia have represented CSUSB at the 32nd Annual CSU Student Research Competition at Sacramento State University on May 4th and 5th, 2018.

Eman Alzoghbieh was awarded with 2020 California State University San Bernardino SSI Graduate Student Culminating Project Fund to conduct research on "the Prevalence of Food Insecurity among CSUSB students.”


Charles Carter is awarded with the Graduate Equity Fellowship, 2019-2020. Eman Alzoghbieh, recipient of Graduate Equity Award for Winter; being hired as a Teacher Assistant at the Health Sciences department teaching Lab 120.
