CSUSB Palm Desert Campus nursing students and faculty recognized at Eisenhower Health Symposium
Several PDC faculty and alumni were featured in the program, delivering podium and poster presentations.
Highlights of the event, hosted by the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, were the donor address from Debbie Brown, wife of the late Jack H. Brown, philanthropist and founder of Stater Bros. Markets, and the heartfelt address by scholarship recipient Jennifer Cornejo. “Scholarships are so much more than financial gifts,” Cornejo said. “They represent opportunity, hope, potential, passion and a pathway for people like me.”
“Rooted in the Region, Driven by Purpose: Leveling the Playing Field for Students at California State University, San Bernardino,” by Kelly Campbell, CSUSB vice provost, is one of six case studies included in in “Transformation Powered by the ITA,” compiled by the Gardner Institute, a leading national student success nonprofit organization.
As a first-generation college student who worked full-time while pursuing her degree, Karina Campos was determined to create professional opportunities for herself.
