
The Cal State University Associates is a premier organization of supporters of the Palm Desert Campus of California State University, San Bernardino.

Panelists will discuss their professional observations and the long-term impact on the wellbeing of this highly effected demographic.

Michael Karp (history) is the coordinator of the annual Academic WorldQuest competition at the Palm Desert Campus, and Riguad Joseph (social work) co-wrote a paper that “explored whether license-holding mental health professionals exhibit comfort/discomfort in addressing religion and spirituality (RS) in practice.”

Grant funds from BIGHORN Cares will be used for monthly produce distribution as well as educational workshops and activities.

Diane Vines (nursing) was interviewed for a feature on the Cal State San Bernardino Nursing Street Medicine Program going mobile in the Coachella Valley, and Dionisio Amodeo (psychology) was one of the authors of a paper on autism spectrum disorder.

The gala will showcase program developments, introduce hospitality program students and feature student DJs from PDC’s Paws Radio.

This special ceremony welcomes newly graduated nurses into the nursing workforce to serve the public.

Mike Stull (entrepreneurship) was interviewed about the growing number of Latino entrepreneurs, Sina Bastami (lecturer, geography and environmental sciences) spoke about CSUSB’s Model United Nations team doing well at a conference in Japan, Brian Levin (criminal justice) discussed the latest FBI hate crime report, and Diane Vines (nursing) thanked supporters as the Street Nursing Program joined a mobile clinic program.

Nursing faculty and students from the CSUSB Nursing Street Medicine Program will perform mental health assessments and provide nurse clinics at various locations around the Coachella Valley.
