For the fourth time in five years, and for the third consecutive year, the CSUSB club and honor society has been named the best chapter in the nation by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
The journal, which showcases the work of undergraduate and graduate students, won third prize in the 2018 Gerald D. Nash graduate print journal national competition, the first time it had been entered in this category.
“Asylums and the Insane in Early Twentieth-Century China,” is the title of the talk to be given by Emily Baum, associate professor of modern Chinese history at UC Irvine, at the John M. Pfau Library, room PL-4005.
“How Not to Write History: Teaching Methodology Through Aliens, Conspiracies, and the Chinese Discovery of America,” will be presented by Chelsea Zi Wang, an assistant professor of history at Claremont McKenna College, on April 19.
“When History Matters Little: Political Hierarchy and Regional Development in China, 1000-2000 AD,” will be presented by Ruixue Jia at the John M. Pfau Library, room PL-4005, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.
The annual Spring 2019 Faculty Showcase at Cal State San Bernardino celebrated 11 faculty members and their success in using innovative pedagogies and learning technologies for instruction.
The panel discussion presented by the Cal State San Bernardino John M. Pfau Library and the Department of History, will take place on Wednesday, June 5, beginning at noon in PL-5005 of the library.
