The deadline is Monday, Dec. 5, to submit nominations of individuals for the biennial award named for the late Augie Hartung who served as associate director of Facilities Services from 2001-2006.
Convocation will feature highlights from last year, the goals and challenges for the upcoming year along with announcements of the President’s Special Achievement and Outstanding Employee award winners.
“Augie’s Pop of Kindness Day,” presented by the CSUSB Staff Council, will take place from noon- 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, with locations on campus to pick up a popsicle and to remember the legacy of kindness that Augie Hartung personified.

Veteran TV producer Wenda Fong, who was appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees in 2018, visited the CSUSB campus on Nov. 7.
The CSUSB Staff Council is proud to announce the Inaugural Augie’s Pop of Kindness Day, Thursday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m.
CSUSB students will be the recipients of the packs of exam blue books, Scantrons, pencils, containers of mac and cheese and popcorn. Finals take place Dec. 4-7.
