Cal State San Bernardino's Office of Annual Giving earned two 2026 Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), receiving international recognition for its creative fundraising and digital storytelling.
The CASE Circle of Excellence Awards recognize colleges, universities and schools whose advancement teams demonstrate exceptional ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in fundraising, alumni relations, marketing and communications.
The Office of Annual Giving received a silver award in the Fundraising: Annual/Regular Giving Campaigns category and a bronze award in the Fundraising: Flash Campaigns/Giving Day Campaigns category for its story-driven Giving Tuesday campaign, Detective Cody's Case of the Missing Donation Box.
The campaign raised more than $185,000, exceeding its fundraising goal by 24.5%, while engaging 603 donors and welcoming 207 first-time donors in support of student success.
This year, advancement teams from 628 institutions in 33 countries submitted 4,185 entries across 93 award categories spanning the full breadth of educational advancement, including fundraising, alumni engagement, marketing, leadership, publications, video and special events.
A panel of 570 volunteer judges selected 493 award-winning entries, placing CSUSB's Office of Annual Giving among the world's top-performing advancement teams.
The recognition underscores Cal State San Bernardino's commitment to innovative fundraising and meaningful engagement that strengthens support for student success and the campus community.
