The 19th annual Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign raised over $135,000 with donations from nearly 340 donors, surpassing its donor goal by 11%. Led by the Office of Annual Giving, the four-week campaign provided an opportunity for faculty and staff to contribute to scholarships and other areas of need within the university.

The donations support the university’s mission of providing accessible, affordable and quality education to its diverse student population.

Over the past 18 years, the Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign has raised more than $1.5 million in resources to fund scholarships, fieldwork trips, meals and transportation, which has enhanced the overall experience for CSUSB students.

This year, the philanthropic initiative raised funds for 20 scholarships, student-athletes, alumni chapters, 15 student clubs and organizations, 10 centers across all academic colleges, and affinity centers. In addition, there were 20 first-time donors who contributed to the cause.

Faculty co-chair Mark Agars, professor of psychology, and staff co-chair Pamela De La Torre, assistant to the associate vice president for Student Affairs and dean of students, along with 15 campaign ambassadors and advocates, played instrumental roles in supporting the successful campaign.

At Cal State San Bernardino, acts of philanthropy can be done year-round. CSUSB’s Office of Annual Giving encourages everyone to make an impact, affect real change and build a brighter future for all.
