Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate student innovation and academic excellence during its 40th annual Student Research Competition on Feb. 13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines will gather in the James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education to present original research and creative projects in one of the university’s most anticipated academic events.

The competition highlights CSUSB’s commitment to hands-on learning and student success, providing participants with the opportunity to sharpen their presentation and communication skills while sharing meaningful scholarly work. Throughout the day, students will present their research before their peers and faculty judges, translating complex ideas into clear, engaging presentations.

Top presenters from the campus competition will earn the opportunity to represent Cal State San Bernardino at the California State University (CSU) Student Research Competition, a prestigious statewide event that brings together outstanding student scholars from across the CSU system. The 2026 CSU Student Research Competition will take place April 23-25 at San José State University.

The CSUSB Student Research Competition continues to serve as a valuable platform for academic growth, professional development and recognition, while also offering students the chance to connect with faculty and fellow researchers across disciplines.
