Upcoming Exhibit 2023: Afróntalo

In this exhibition, the CSUSB Anthropology Museum explores the history, heritage, and experiences of Afrolatine communities, with a focus on Afro-Mexico. Folk arts and fine arts combine to illustrate migration routes, prominent figures, and the ways in which African languages, rhythms, culinary traditions, and landscapes have influenced Latin America. Afro-Mexican communities present themselves directly through co-curated displays, and AfroLatine Californians share their own ideas of what it means to have roots in both Africa and Latin America.  For more information on this project, contact ahuhn@csusb.edu / 909-537-5505.
