Beginning with Winter Intersession 2027, eligible CSUSB students may be able to use their spring financial aid to help pay Winter Intersession charges.
Your initial Spring financial aid disbursement will be issued at the scheduled Spring disbursement date. If sufficient, your Spring financial aid disbursement will pay your Winter Intersession fees and your Spring term fees. If the disbursement is not sufficient, you will need to make payment arrangements with Student Financial Services.
After Spring Census, CSUSB will review your winter enrollment and include eligible Winter Intersession units when determining your final spring financial aid eligibility. Your spring aid may be adjusted if your winter units increase your eligibility.
Not all financial aid programs treat Winter Intersession units the same way. Your eligibility and award adjustments depend on the requirements of each aid program. The following programs will consider Winter Intersession units:
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
- Federal Direct Loans
- Cal Grant
- Middle Class Scholarship
Because your spring financial aid may be used to pay Winter Intersession charges before any remaining funds are refunded to you, your spring financial aid refund may be smaller. Plan ahead for your spring books, housing, transportation, and other expenses.
