The faculty and staff of the CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts would like to extend a special thank you to the participating schools in 2023's High School Theatre Festival!
We are currently discussing date options, but we know the date will be, as it always has been, in March!
About the High School Theatre Festival:
Each year we welcome hundreds of high school drama students to the CSUSB campus for a day of performance, competition, workshops, and fun! HSTF is an opportunity for your students to work alongside college students and professionals while honing their skills, and socializing with their contemporaries.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE FESTIVAL?
There is a $10 fee per student.
WHAT IS THE HSTF SCHEDULE?
Our exciting schedule will be announced soon, but you can expect performances and monologue presentations in the morning, with workshops in the afternoon. The day begins around 8am, and finishes no later than 4pm.
WHEN CAN I REGISTER MY SCHOOL?
Registration packets will be sent out AFTER the New Year.
WILL LUNCH BE PROVIDED FOR MY STUDENTS?
No, we do not provide lunch, but CSUSB has several accessible eateries, or have a picnic on the lawn!
CAN MY STUDENTS PERFORM AT HSTF?
Yes! Schools can submit one short scene (7 minutes or less), and there is also a monologue presentation (90 seconds or less per monologue, limit 10 per school).
