How To Meet With a Peer Advisor
Peer Advisors are here to guide and support all students throughout the academic year.
You can meet with a Peer Advisor in person or online—by appointment or during drop-in hours.
Location: IW-203
Appointments: Schedule through Navigate
Drop-ins: Stop by IW-203 during posted hours
In-Person Peer Advising
- Appointments: Meet 1-on-1 with a Peer Advisor in IW-203.
- Walk-ins: Available during drop-in hours.
- Tip: Check the posted in-person schedule to plan your visit.
Online Peer Advising
- Appointments only: Meet 1-on-1 via Zoom.
- When scheduling in Navigate, select “Virtual” as your meeting type.
How to Schedule an Appointment in Navigate
- Log into MyCoyote.
- Go to My Academics.
- Click the Navigate icon.
- In the top right corner, click Schedule an Appointment (blue box).
- Type of Appointment: Select Academic Support.
- Service: Choose Academic Goals or Personal Goals.
- Select your preferred date.
- Click Find Available Time.
- Choose a 30-minute slot.
- Review details and click Confirm Appointment.
What to Expect
When you arrive for your in-person appointment or walk-in at IW-203:
- You’ll be greeted by a Peer Advisor.
- Sign in at the kiosk.
- Choose a comfortable seat.
- Begin your 1-on-1 meeting.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend, please cancel as a courtesy:
- Log into Navigate, go to Upcoming Appointments, and select Cancel Appointment.
- Missing appointments without canceling will be marked as “No Shows.” Multiple No Shows may limit your ability to book future appointments that semester.
