How to Meet with a Student Mentor
Student Mentors are here to guide and support all students throughout the academic year.
You can connect with a mentor in person or online—either by appointment or during drop-in hours.
Location: IW-202
Appointments: Schedule through Navigate
Drop-ins: Stop by IW-202 during posted hours
In-Person Mentoring
- Appointments: Meet 1-on-1 with your mentor in IW-202.
- Walk-ins: Available during drop-in hours.
- Tip: Check the posted in-person mentoring schedule for availability.
Online Mentoring
- Appointments only: Meet 1-on-1 via Zoom.
- When scheduling in Navigate, select “Virtual” as your meeting type.
How to Schedule an Appointment in Navigate
- Log into MyCoyote
- Go to Academics
- Click the Navigate icon.
- Click Schedule an Appointment (blue box in the top right)
- Type of Appointment: Select ASUA Academic Support
- Service: Choose Student Mentoring (Scheduled)
- Select your preferred date
- Click Find Available Time
- Choose a mentor of your choice
- Select a 30-minute slot
- How you would like to meet: Choose In-Person or virtual
- Add any notes or information you'd like your mentor to know before the meeting
- Review details and click Schedule
What to Expect for In-Person Meetings
When you arrive at IW-202 for your appointment or as a walk-in:
- A mentor will greet you.
- Sign in at the kiosk.
- Take a seat wherever you’re comfortable.
- Begin your 1-on-1 meeting.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend your appointment:
- Log into Navigate, go to Upcoming Appointments, and select Cancel Appointment.
- Missed appointments without cancellation will be marked as No Shows. Multiple No Shows may limit your ability to book future appointments that semester.
