Title IV-E Program

Title IV-E Stipend Program

The CSUSB School of Social Work participates in the statewide Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Project. This project is a joint effort of California schools of social welfare, County Welfare Directors, NASW, mental health representatives and private foundations. The primary goal is to professionalize child welfare services by increasing the number of both bachelors and masters degreed social workers who provide services to children and their families.

The Title IV-E Program provides monetary assistance in the form of stipends, child welfare competency-based curriculum, specialized placements and support to students who are interested in starting or continuing a career in Public Child Welfare. There are a limited number of stipends awarded each year and priority is given to current Public Child Welfare employees.
