To See Through

To See Through

September 12 – December 12, 2026

Curator and juror will be Netflix Blown Away Resident Evaluator, Artist/Professor,  Katherine Gray

The desire to see through something is an impulse as fundamental as vision itself— the need to understand what lies beneath the surface, to make sense of a world that rarely presents itself completely. Between the extremes of transparency, which promises total knowledge but can overwhelm with too much information, and opacity, which stops us short at impenetrable surfaces, lies the realm of translucency:  the filtered light, the partial view, the diaphanous form that emerges gradually. This exhibition explores levels of light transmission that begets translucency, a condition of visibility as much as being visible. Artists working in any material and who explore clarity, translucency, and opacity as conditions of discovery and comprehension are welcome to submit.
