Specialization
My roles in Pfau Library include:
- Overseeing the Library Information Technology department and our two makerspaces, the Innovation Lab and Studio
- Subject librarian for the Computer Science and Engineering and Information Decision Sciences programs
- Serving as the library's College Level Liaison to Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)
- Assessing and improving the technical aspects of the library's online user experience
- Administering the Springshare suite and our consortially managed Primo installation
Research and Teaching Interests
I'm interested in exploring the nature of technology work in academic libraries. I've published and presented on makerspace collaboration, people-centered approaches to system migrations, and barriers that prevent students from accessing electronic library resources. Currently I am studying the influence of the Slow Librarianship movement on technology librarianship.
