Chandler Bahk

Dr. Bahk’s research interests include communication theory, intergroup perception, digital media, the Internet of Things (IoT), automated mediation, and the social and psychological effects of media use. He has published journal articles in fields spanning communication, media studies, psychology, health, environmental education, and information systems. His work has appeared in such journals as Communication Research, Communication Research Reports, Health Communication, Howard Journal of Communications, Journal of Intercultural Communication Research, Journal of Environmental Education, American Journal of Health Behavior, Journal of Alcohol and Drug Education, Psychological Reports, and Perceptual and Motor Skills. He has also contributed chapters and reference entries to edited books and encyclopedias published by Wiley, SAGE, Springer, SUNY Press, and other academic publishers, and has coedited a scholarly book. In addition, he has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences, including those of the International Communication Association (ICA), National Communication Association (NCA), Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), Western States Communication Association (WSCA), Eastern Communication Association (ECA), and World Communication Association (WCA).
