Outreach Program

The Murillo Family Observatory welcomes groups for both day and night events, whatever fits your needs, from solar observing during the day to stargazing after dark.

Public Visitor Nights

We host public Visitor Nights approximately once a month during the academic year, weather permitting. See our Events Calendar for upcoming dates.

School and Group Visits

Whether you'd like to bring a class to CSUSB or have our team visit your school, we offer options for every age group and group size, from individual lab tours to full-day visits for up to 120 students. See our Info Sessions page for the full range of options.

To keep the experience high quality for everyone, we can host private groups of up to 50 people at the observatory at one time. If your group is larger, we recommend pairing your observatory visit with a stop on campus, so we can shuttle attendees up and down in smaller groups throughout your visit.
