Concur

The CSU Systemwide Concur Optimize implementation is a strategic, multi-campus initiative aimed at expanding and enhancing the CSU’s travel and expense management platform. Initially implemented across seven campuses—Bakersfield, Chico, Humboldt, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, and the Chancellor’s Office—the project has since expanded to 15 campuses as part of the CSU’s broader objective to achieve full systemwide adoption. The Optimize solution integrates Concur with the CSU’s ERP and enterprise reporting tools, enabling standardized, efficient, and scalable travel operations across campuses.

What:

Implementation of new systemwide Concur system as a part of the Multi-University Collaboration Initiative

Why:

This initiative addresses the need for a unified, modernized approach to travel and expense management across the CSU system. By integrating Concur directly with ERP and reporting platforms, the project:

  • Improves data accuracy
  • Strengthens internal controls
  • Enhances financial transparency
  • Reduces reliance on manual processes.

The Optimize implementation also supports consistent policy enforcement, improved audit readiness, and systemwide reporting capabilities that enable better decision-making at both campus and system levels.
