Each fall the Department of Mathematics holds Mandatory Advising for undergraduate math majors. Mandatory advising lasts for two weeks and starts the week before winter quarter priority registration. About a week before advising begins sign-up sheets will be posted on office doors with availability indicated.
Prior to their advising session, students should complete their myCAP and bring with them to the advising session their PAWS report and an advising slip. The advising professor’s signature is required on the advising in order to lift the student's registration.
There are several information sheets available in the Department Office (JB 370) that are helpful for advising. These include roadmaps, list of GE classes, degree requirement checklist, and the planned schedule of course offerings.
