School of Social Work welcomes its new students
Students gathered at the Santos Manuel Student Union North Conference center on Aug. 19 for the New Student Orientation Dinner to meet the school’s faculty and each other.
CSUSB’s Office of Pre-College Programs, through Cal-SOAP and Educational Talent Search, launched its inaugural IRL: College in Real Life Road Trip, a residential experience designed to help local high school seniors explore higher education pathways and prepare for college through campus tours, workshops, admissions and financial aid guidance, and mentorship.
Led by CSUSB’s Office of Pre-College Programs, the four-week dual enrollment program provided 189 high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while experiencing college life. During the program, students received academic support, mentorship, and college and career preparation.
Coyote Days on Aug. 25-26 and the Coyote Experience Kickoff on Aug. 27 will welcome students back to CSUSB with free food, games, campus resources and opportunities to connect during the first week of the fall semester. The events mark the start of the Coyote Experience initiative, helping students build community and discover the support available at CSUSB throughout their college journey.
