CSUSB’s Day of Remembrance honors 14 lives lost on Dec. 2, 2015
Families, friends, former coworkers and members of the campus community gathered for the university's annual Day of Remembrance, hosted by CSUSB’s College of Natural Sciences, honoring the 14 victims of the 2015 mass shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino — five of whom were CSUSB alumni.
The ceremony marked the completion of the building’s structural frame and brought the campus one step closer to opening its first state-funded building and first new facility in 16 years.
Cal State San Bernardino hosted law enforcement leader and changemaker Ryan Tillman for an inspiring keynote on his “Happy Eyes” philosophy, where he encouraged students, faculty and staff to lead with love, empathy and respect through stories drawn from his personal and professional life.
Cal State San Bernardino has been recognized as a 2025 Top Veteran-Friendly School by U.S. Veterans Magazine, underscoring the university’s commitment to empowering military-affiliated students with the tools, support and opportunities they need to succeed at CSUSB and beyond.
