Students take the lead at CSUSB’s 16th Annual Spring Classic Golf Tournament
Marketing students at Cal State San Bernardino successfully planned and executed two events, the 16th Annual Spring Classic Golf Tournament and CSUSB Night at the Inland Empire 66ers game, raising funds for scholarships while gaining real-world experience in event planning.

CSUSB student Maurice Cruz is the recipient of the 2025 National Undergraduate Scholar Award from the American Kinesiology Association. This prestigious award honors exceptional academic achievement, leadership and a commitment to advancing the field of kinesiology and related disciplines.

Student volunteers with CSUSB’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program prepared more than 200 tax returns this season for underserved individuals and families, securing more than $227,000 in refunds and critical tax credits for the community.

The students, representing the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and the Republic of Vanuatu, brought home a Distinguished Delegation Award, making it 33 years the program has been honored with either an Outstanding Delegation or Distinguished Delegation award, the top recognitions bestowed by the National Model United Nations Conference.
