CSUSB’s Summer Algebra Institute builds math skills and college confidence
Seventy-four students explored algebra, engineering and college life through CSUSB’s sixth annual Summer Algebra Institute. Hosted by CSUSB’s Cal-SOAP, the program combined personalized math instruction with hands-on projects and field trips designed to build confidence and prepare students for academic success.
CSUSB’s Department of Nursing, in partnership with the College of Extended and Global Education, welcomed 15 students from Chang Gung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan for a four-week Nursing Immersion Program at Cal State San Bernardino, featuring coursework, clinical learning and cultural exchange.
Students gathered at the Santos Manuel Student Union North Conference center on Aug. 19 for the New Student Orientation Dinner to meet the school’s faculty and each other.
CSUSB welcomed new and returning students to the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses as the fall semester kicked off with the first full day of classes on Aug. 24.
