CSUSB recognizes CNS Science Carnival planning committee
Fourteen CSUSB faculty and staff members are being recognized for helping plan the spring 2026 Science Carnival, which welcomed nearly 500 Inland Empire students, teachers, staff and families.
Six students and their faculty mentor, Nabeel Alzahrani, examined how large language models and autonomous agents could help security operations centers address emerging cyber threats.
At the Sept. 12 event, visitors explored two exhibitions – “Gathered Here,” honoring the people who shaped RAFFMA, and “To See Through,” curated by CSUSB professor and glass artist Katherine Gray, examining how light, materials and perception influence what we see. Together, the exhibitions enriched the museum’s 30th-anniversary celebration by reflecting on its history while introducing visitors to new artistic perspectives.
An inaugural NSF CyberAICorps award will expand opportunities for CSUSB students to gain the AI and cybersecurity expertise needed to protect the nation’s increasingly connected digital infrastructure. The award builds on more than 15 years of CSUSB preparing cybersecurity professionals for public service.
