CSUSB highlights ‘AI Fools Week,’ launches new Center for Cyber and AI commercial
Cal State San Bernardino spotlighted “AI Fools Week,” March 31-April 4, a national campaign raising awareness about AI-driven cyber threats, while unveiling a new commercial showcasing the impact of its Center for Cyber and AI. The initiative highlights CSUSB’s leadership in preparing students and communities to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.
CSUSB students earned top placements at the NCAE Cyber Games Southwest Regional Competition while building hands-on skills in teamwork, problem-solving and system defense. Competing side by side, they applied classroom knowledge in a fast-paced environment that mirrors real cybersecurity careers.
Breanna Ramirez was recognized for her excellence in teaching biotechnology-related courses at Cal State San Bernardino and was one of only two students selected for the honor across the California State University system.
The chandelier, designed by glass artist, Netflix “Blown Away” reality show evaluator, and art professor Katherine Gray, shines in the Ellen and Stan Weisser Foyer of the university’s new Performing Arts Center. The installation, created with the help of three CSUSB art students, highlights the creativity and collaboration that define the campus arts community.
