The “My Awesome Empire” radio program at Cal State San Bernardino has been named a finalist for an international Golden Mic Award from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System.
The program that was recognized paid tribute to San Bernardino in the aftermath of the North Park Elementary shooting in 2017, focusing on the good things in the community.
Lacey Kendall, longtime radio personality and the driving force behind Cal State San Bernardino’s Coyote Radio and one of its signature shows, “My Awesome Empire,” was recently interviewed by KVCR’s Lillian Vasquez on the program “Lifestyles.”
Programming at all hours is saturated with music and news and information about cultural, intellectual and academic offerings at the Palm Desert Campus, in the city of Palm Desert and the entire Coachella Valley region.
Alfredo Cruz and Kelli Cluqué, who each bring a wealth of professional experience in radio and advertising with them, have joined the program at Cal State San Bernardino.
