RAFFMA, in collaboration with the Department of History, will present a lecture by Justin M. Jacobs, associate professor of history at American University, entitled “The Compensations of Plunder: How China Lost Its Treasures” on Monday, Nov. 9, at noon.
The College of Arts and Letters has named Luis Esparza, communication studies major, as its 2019-20 Outstanding Graduate Student and Brenda Flores, philosophy major, as its Outstanding Undergraduate Student.
Following a national search and the careful consideration of input from the campus community, Rueyling Chuang has been named dean of the College of Arts and Letters, effective June 1.
The College of Arts and Letters hosted its Faculty Colloquium on Nov. 4, and featured Tom McGovern (art; chair of World Languages & Literatures), Gretchen Bergquist (communication studies), and Jasmine Lee (English).
The CSUSB College of Arts and Letters Faculty Colloquium featured three faculty members: Carmen Jany, professor of Spanish; Annie Buckley, professor of art; and Nicholas Bratcher, assistant professor of music.
