When communication studies professor Lane Shefter Bishop isn’t in the classroom teaching her students, she is often on set directing a movie or producing a TV series. Her newest project, “Blood, Sweat and Lies,” debuts today.
In the Professional Competition of the the American Advertising Federation Inland Empire Chapter Awards, Coyote Advertising won one gold, three silver and six bronze awards. In addition, CSUSB students took home 31 awards in the Student Competition.
The 31 awards were the most this year by any one school in the student competition.
In addition, the CSUSB Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, along with the vocalists, each received superior ratings at the festival’s competition.
CSUSB’s Coyote Radio & Advertising continued its tradition of excellence at the annual American Advertising Federation Inland Empire “ADDY” Awards Gala, winning 10 awards in the professional category.
Ethan Mink, communication studies major, was a researcher on an Empire KVCR TV 24 production crew for the program “Vietnam Speaks,” which was nominated in the category Military-Program or Special.
