Coyote pride will be on full display during Homecoming Week, Oct. 11-16, which will culminate with the annual Homecoming Bash and the women’s volleyball match versus rival Cal Poly Pomona.
In recognition of winning the NCAA Division II National Championship, California Assembly and Senate on March 9 honored the CSUSB Coyotes volleyball team in Sacramento.
The CSUSB Coyote volleyball team, which captured the NCAA Division II National Championship in December, the university’s first national title, was honored during a block party on campus on Feb. 28.
The team received a standing ovation as San Bernardino Mayor John Valdivia praised the team for their winning the 2019 NCAA Division II national championship.
As part of the Tara VanDerveer Fund for the Advancement of Women in Coaching grant, CSUSB selected volleyball assistant coach and Coyote alumna Kelcie Tolan as the female coaching fellow.
A record crowd of students, alumni, faculty, staff and community attended the weekend festivities, highlighted by a Coyote volleyball win.
Homecoming, CSUSB’s most anticipated event of the fall, which brings together alumni, students and local community members, will be held Oct. 19.
With most donning their tie-dyed I Love CSUSB T-shirts, faculty and staff were treated to lunch, music, games and prizes during the fourth annual Employee Appreciation Picnic.
