The exhibit, which explores the making and meaning of gendered “domestic crafts” in the Southwestern United States and Mexico, is on display all summer.
This year’s exhibition, called “Beyond the Blue,” will run from July 22 through Sept. 2 at CB1 Gallery in Los Angeles.
The start of the 2017-18 academic year also means the return of the intermittent feature, Faculty in the News, a compilation of news coverage that included Cal State San Bernardino faculty.
“All Too Human: The Art of Mark Strickland,” will be on display at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art Feb. 17-May 19, with an opening reception set for Thursday, Feb. 15.
The work off campus by David Carlson and Juan Delgado (English), Sant Khalsa (art), Tony Coulson (information and decision sciences) and Kathryn Ervin (theatre arts) is chronicled in the local news media.
Sant Khalsa (professor of art emerita), Brian Levin (criminal justice) and Alemayehu Mariam (political science) share their expertise in various news articles.
“Existential Flux,” by Heath Rössler, will be on display April 5-18. An opening reception is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, at the museum.
Johnny Shield, Heath Rössler, Mariah Armstrong Conner and Daniel Schmidt will be the fifth class of MFA students to present their thesis exhibitions. The MFA Art Talk is set for Thursday, April 5, at 2 p.m.
“Plasticozoic,” an exhibition by graduate student Mariah Armstrong Conner, will open on April 26, with a reception from 4-6 p.m., at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art Dutton Family Gallery at Cal State San Bernardino.
