
For the first time, CSUSB has introduced motion capture technology into its theatre training. Performance capture will be coming next. Kristi Papailler, assistant professor of acting and directing, breaks it down for us.

The CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts will introduce the 2023-24 season, “All Eyes on CSUSB,” with “Murder on the Orient Express” in November, followed by the musical “Pippin” in the spring.

While at CSUSB, Barker will teach a course, “Journey to the Beyond: Funerary Art in Egypt from the Predynastic Period to the Late Period,” a unique class that mixes the study of ancient Egyptian funerary art with modern museum collecting practices and ethics.

Professor of world languages and literatures, Carmen Dagostino, believes diversity fosters creativity and expands education at CSUSB.

The Performing Arts Center will provide teaching, rehearsal and performance spaces necessary for a modern performing arts program.

Three university-wide awards – Distinguished Alumni, Emerging Leader and Coyote Spirit – will be presented, as well as the Paw Print Awards, which honor esteemed alumni from each of the university’s five colleges.
