CSUSB recently welcomed nearly 30 community college deans, department chairs, articulation counselors and university leaders to campus for the Community College Partnership Learning Community meeting, a collaborative effort focused on strengthening transfer pathways and improving student success across the region.

Guillermo Escalante, associate dean in the College of Natural Sciences and professor of kinesiology, models discipline and applied expertise at CSUSB — on campus and in competitive bodybuilding. After a three-year break, he returned to high-level competition last summer, earning seven top 10 finishes.

CSUSB deans and associate deans led panel discussions at the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences 60th Annual Meeting, which brought together academic leaders from across the country to share best practices and strengthen liberal arts and sciences education.
