Cal State San Bernardino recognizes 14 faculty and staff members whose contributions helped bring the College of Natural Sciences’ spring 2026 Science Carnival to life.
The carnival welcomed nearly 500 students in grades six through 12, teachers, staff and families from 12 Inland Empire schools for a day of hands-on STEM exploration. Interactive activities ranged from earthquake modeling and fossil discovery to slime experiments, space science, a robotic dog and a cryogenics demonstration.

Hosted in collaboration with CSUSB’s Division of Student Affairs and the James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education, the carnival featured activities and demonstrations led by university faculty, staff and student volunteers.
The committee’s contributions helped create an engaging event that expanded access to STEM education, strengthened connections between CSUSB and local schools, and encouraged the Inland Empire’s next generation of scientists and innovators.
