The Association of Latino Faculty, Staff, and Students (ALFSS) at Cal State San Bernardino will host its second Tamal Award and Scholarship Recognition Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Santos Manuel Student Union South Event Center.

The event will award ten $1,000 scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and service to the Latinx community.
In addition, Tamal Awards will be presented to ALFSS members for their exceptional contributions and commitment to the association: university President Tomás D. Morales and university staff members Randy Valles and Maria Najera-Neri.
Since its founding in 1985, ALFSS has awarded more than $350,000 in scholarships to students. Proceeds from the luncheon, which costs $30 per person or $240 per table of eight, will support future scholarships.
Registration and donations may be made online at Tamal Award & Scholarship Recognition Luncheon webpage.
