Cal State San Bernardino graduate student Amanda Santos will present her Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, “Adaptive Compulsion,” at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art’s Dutton Family Gallery from Nov. 13-20. The mixed media installation combines ceramics, glass, and paper pulp in sculptures that explore the invisible, microscopic world and its connection to anxiety.
A public reception will be held on Nov. 13 from 3-6 p.m., followed by an Artist Talk with Santos at 5 p.m. “Adaptive Compulsion” represents the culmination of her studies and development of a distinctive, whimsical artistic style during her time in CSUSB’s MFA program. Santos will graduate this December with her Master of Fine Arts degree.
