Cal State San Bernardino has received an $85,000 grant from Southern California Edison to support student scholarships and expand academic access across a range of impactful university programs. The funding benefits 43 students, reinforcing CSUSB’s mission to foster opportunity, increase representation, and prepare future leaders in STEM, cybersecurity and education.

Through the Edison International STEM Scholarships, students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics are receiving financial assistance to help them stay enrolled and succeed in their fields of study. The grant also supports the Center for Enhancement of Mathematics Education (CEME), which partners with local school districts to improve K-12 math instruction and encourage students to pursue careers as mathematics teachers.

Additional funding assists cybersecurity students in the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration. These scholarships aim to support student engagement and success in a field with rapidly growing workforce demand, building on CSUSB’s national reputation in cybersecurity education.

With Edison International’s continued partnership, Cal State San Bernardino is expanding access, removing financial barriers, and preparing students to define their future — and the future of their communities.
