Cal State San Bernardino awarded nearly $1M to fund cybersecurity program

With the U.S. being targeted for cyber attacks, CSUSB will use nearly $1 million in federal funds to support its cybersecurity program focusing on community projects.

Tony Coulson, executive director the CSUSB Cybersecurity Center, was interviewed for the segment.

Not reported in the segment, the funding, part of $12.2 million in federal earmarks for the California State University, was made possible by U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) and U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-San Bernardino).


CSUSB professor assisted ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ animators (in Spanish)

The Spanish-language news site’s feature on “Kung Fu Panda 4” mentioned that Stuart Sumida, CSUSB professor of biology who consults with filmmakers on anatomy and movement, helped shape the character The Chameleon and her army of Komodo dragons. The characters were designed taking into account their physiology, movements and independent movement of their eyes.
