Presentations about research on forced organ harvesting in China and the history of the Salton Sea and the road ahead have already taken place earlier this year.

The Cal State University Associates is a premier organization of supporters of the Palm Desert Campus of California State University, San Bernardino. Members serve as goodwill ambassadors for the campus in the community and contribute tax-deductible yearly dues of $125/year for individuals or $200/year for couples. Other membership levels are available by visiting the Cal State University Associates webpage.

The majority of membership dues go toward scholarships for deserving students at the campus.

This vital support group has already donated more than $127,000 to the campus scholarship program since its inception in 2009.

Benefits of membership include: invitations to exclusive “members only” programs, contributing to student scholarships and knowing you are supporting the educational opportunities for all ages at the only four-year public university in the Coachella Valley.

Presentations begin at 6 p.m. in the campus’ Indian Wells Theater, with a “social hour” in the theater lobby at 5 p.m.

Members of the community may attend one event at no cost in order to get acquainted with members and enjoy the evening’s presentation.

RSVPs, which are required to receive an electronic parking pass, should be directed to Michelle Newman at michelle.newman@csusb.edu or 760-341-2883, ext. 78140.

The campus is located at 37-500 Cook St.
