Governor announces appointments to Commission on State of Hate

Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sept. 13 announced his appointments to the Commission on the State of Hate, which included Brian Levin, 58, of Orange County, founding director at the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism and a professor at the CSU San Bernardino School of Criminology and Criminal Justice since 1999.

Brian Levin, founding director of the non-partisan Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino, has been appointed to the California Commission on the State of Hate by Gov. Gavin Newsom, the governor’s office has announced.
