The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) is seeking nominations of Inland Southern California regionally based entrepreneurs for the 2021 Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 20.  

The Spirit of the Entrepreneur celebrates the entrepreneurial champions of the Inland Southern California region and will take place live and in-person on the evening of Nov. 10 at the Fox Theater in Riverside.

Referred to as “The Oscars of Business” by top professionals, the Spirit Awards is a black-tie gala full of innovation, inspiration and networking.  This annual event features red carpet coverage, cocktail and VIP networking receptions, coveted award presentations, with highly anticipated unveiled entertainment.

Self-nominations are highly encouraged. Past Spirit Awards finalists and recipients have noted the distinction that being involved has brought to their teams and businesses. Nominees are evaluated based on their innovation, leadership, performance, character, and entrepreneurial mindset.  Once nomination(s) have been received, Spirit staff will contact all nominees directly to complete a nominee profile for consideration by an independent judging panel commissioned by the event coordinators. The Spirit of the Entrepreneur awards was founded by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) which is headquartered in the Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public Administration on the beautiful campus of Cal State San Bernardino.

IECE has been recognized internationally by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and received the Entrepreneurship Spotlight Challenge award for demonstrating leadership in creating (and incubating) cutting-edge business innovations through enriched student learning and experiential education; which ranked them among the top 35 entrepreneurship programs globally.
