Brian Levin, director, and Kevin Grisham, associate director, from Cal State San Bernardino’s Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism, will present their latest findings of some of the fringe movements impacting the nation and the region.

They will speak at “Advancing Human Relations in a Time of Division & Extremism,” a program of the Orange County Human Relations Council, set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The program, which is free, will take place on Zoom. Advance registration is required, and can be done online at the Advancing Human Relations In A Time of Division & Extremism event page.

Along with their latest findings, the presentation by Levin and Grisham will recap key developments over the past decade and what they mean for the future.

The Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism is a nonpartisan research and policy center that examines the ways that bigotry, advocacy of extreme methods, or terrorism, both domestically and internationally deny civil or human rights to people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other relevant status characteristics. The center seeks to aid scholars, community activists, government officials, law enforcement, the media and others with objective information to aid them in their examination and implementation of law, education and policy.
