With most donning their tie-dyed I Love CSUSB T-shirts, Cal State San Bernardino faculty and staff were treated to lunch, music, games and prizes during the fourth annual Employee Appreciation Picnic, which took place on the John M. Pfau Library lawn on Sept. 13.

Divisions also had a chance to compete in a donation contest to benefit the Obershaw DEN food pantry. Employees were asked to donate non-perishable food and hygiene items, which were sorted and weighed during the picnic. For the third consecutive year, the Division of University Advancement and the Office of the President brought in the most donations, totaling 2,359 pounds of goods, and received a DEN trophy. More than 4,569 pounds of goods were donated.

In addition, prior to the Employee Appreciation Picnic, faculty and staff were invited to the Feeling Groovy Wellness Walk, where participants took a 1.2-mile stroll around the campus.

Also, later in the evening, faculty and staff who wore their I Love CSUSB T-shirts received free admission to the CSUSB women’s soccer vs. Metro State game at Premier Field and the CSUSB volleyball vs. Biola game at The Den (PE Building).

Visit the Obershaw DEN to learn more about the program or to make a donation.
