The fourth annual Employee Appreciation Picnic promises a day of fun for all CSUSB faculty and staff on Friday, Sept. 13, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on the Pfau Library lawn.
Register at the Employee Appreciation picnic website and receive a free I Love CSUSB T-shirt (while supplies last).
But before the picnic, faculty and staff are invited to the Feeling Groovy Wellness Walk. Participants will meet at the library lawn at 8:30 a.m. and take a 1.2 mile stroll around the campus.
Then during the picnic, attendees will enjoy a menu of hamburgers, black bean burgers and chicken sandwiches, along with grilled corn; macaroni, potato and vegan bow tie salad; watermelon and assorted desserts.
Later in the evening, faculty and staff who wear their I Love CSUSB T-shirts will get free admission to two CSUSB athletic events:
- CSUSB women’s soccer vs. Metro State | 4 p.m. | Premier Field
- CSUSB volleyball vs. Biola | 7:30 p.m. | The Den (PE Building)
Divisions will also have a chance to compete in a donation contest to benefit the Obershaw DEN food pantry. Employees are asked to donate non-perishable food and hygiene items, which will be sorted and weighed during the Employee Appreciation Picnic. The division with the most donations will win bragging rights and receive a DEN trophy.
