The campus community had the opportunity to experience a day of Taiwanese culture at the first-ever Taiwan Fair on May 24 at the John M. Pfau Library, room PL-5005.

The fair was free and open to all CSUSB undergraduate and graduate students who wanted to learn more about Taiwanese culture and gain hands-on experience with Chinese art.

Featured were a traditional Taiwan art workshop that included an introduction to traditional Chinese brush painting, the painting and decoration of a paper fan, zodiac charm, and sky lantern.

The Taiwan Fair was sponsored by the CSUSB Department of World Languages and Literatures, the Culture Center of Taipei in El Monte and the Educational Division of the Taipei Economic Cultural Office in Los Angeles.
